Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  • I confirm that the submitted manuscript is the author’s original work and has not been published or submitted for review in another journal.

Author Guidelines – SMART Journal

Welcome to SMART – Scientific Multidisciplinary Advances in Research & Technology. We are committed to publishing original, high-quality scientific work. Please read and follow these submission guidelines carefully before submitting your manuscript.

Scope of Submissions

We accept contributions in the following formats:

  • Original Research Articles
  • Review Articles
  • Short Communications
  • Case Studies / Case Reports
  • Technical Notes
  • Editorials / Commentaries

Your submission must fall within the thematic focus of SMART and demonstrate scholarly quality, methodological rigor, and potential impact.

Language & Formatting

  • Manuscripts must be written in English(U.S. or U.K. style, but consistent throughout).
  • All submissions should be typed, double-spaced, using Times New Roman, 12-point font.
  • Use standard margins (1 inch / 2.54 cm)on all sides.
  • All pages must be numbered.

Manuscript Structure

  1. Title Page
  • Title (concise and informative)
  • Full names of all authors, affiliations
  • Corresponding author’s contact information
    1. Abstract
  • Structured (Background, Methods, Results, Conclusion)
  • 150–250 words
  • 3–6 keywords
    1. Main Text
  • Introduction
  • Materials and Methods
  • Results
  • Discussion
  • Conclusion (optional)
    1. Acknowledgements(if any)
    2. Conflict of Interest Statement
    3. Funding Statement(required)
    4. References
  • APA, Vancouver, or Harvard styles accepted (must be consistent)
    1. Tables and Figures
  • Captions provided
  • High-resolution images (minimum 300 dpi)

Ethical Considerations

  • SMART follows COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics)
  • Submissions must be original and not under review elsewhere.
  • Authors must disclose any conflict of interest.
  • All research involving humans/animals must have ethics approval.

Submission Process

  • Submit your manuscript via our online submission system: [Submission Portal]
  • File format: .doc, .docx, or .rtf
  • A confirmation email will be sent after successful submission.

Peer Review & Publication

  • All manuscripts undergo double-blind peer review.
  • Reviewers provide comments within 3–4 weeks.
  • Authors may be required to submit revisions.
  • Accepted articles will be assigned a DOIand published online open access.

Article Processing Charges (APCs)

  • No fees are currently charged for submission or publication (waived during the launch period).

Copyright & Licensing

  • Authors retain copyright.
  • Articles are published under the Creative Commons Attribution License (CC BY 4.0).
